We have Moved...

Due to non-active meetup members spamming the board and being snide, I have moved our meetup board here. We've been a friendly group for 2 years, so there should be no need for crude individuals to follow. Should trolls decide to pop up, I will at least have the power to expell them since it's linked to my new account. We also have a Yahoo group full of very nice people should you wish to join that, and I will post that link up on the NEW board as well.

The new board is here http://community.livejournal.com/rimagick/ and this one will be deleted asap. I could not transfer ownership from my old account drea_ri to my current account 4destiny, so I apologize for any inconvenience.

Thanks so much.

RIMP last night

My apologies for not posting details here on livejournal, as most of our details get posted at the official messageboard on Yahoo.

At any rate, here's an interesting fill-in from what happened last night:

Last night- the unofficial Pagan & Christian Conference 2006

Yes, I am joking. However, last night our magick pracitioners meetup and about half way through one of the girls saw a guy she used to work with at another table at Borders. They started talking and all of a sudden questions get asked about our group and we find out that there is a Christian group sitting 2 tables away.

Well before we know it, everyone is sitting together at one table and we had about 2-3 hours of dialogue going on. I do have to say it was the most positive experience I have had with Christians to date. Although they were strong in their beliefs, none of them were cramming it down our throats or trying to convert us. It was interesting.

It was just interesting to be able to have a civil dialogue between two different religious sectors and be perfectly fine with it.

I still think ultimately many of us are on the same or similar roads in our spiritual practice, we just represent it in different ways and some of us don't read a book to express our faith. I say, whatever works for you is right for you and so be it.

Last night was good and very positive.

By the way, if you're a magick pracitioner of any religion/faith/path and would like to attend our monthly social email me at circlezine@gmail.com and make sure to put 'RIMP' in the subject or it will get canned with spam.

I will certainly remember to post next month's meetup details here and I will also post some upcoming events in the community here when I get a chance. See you in person in July!

WED, 1/11, 8:00pm Meetup!- Last one until May!

Hello Everyone,
Since the meetup is in 6 days and so far only one person, Donna, is
able to attend, I REALLY need to know if anyone else is coming out.
This is the last meet until May due to my class schedule. I will be
in school almost every night of the week.

At any rate, it would be nice to see many of you after not having seen
you for months and also before I get into this grueling schedule.

I do believe that Cindy told me as well that she cannot attend due to
classes she is taking. So, so far:

Deb cannot attend.
Cindy cannot attend.
Donna will attend.
I will be there as well.

Please let me know that you're alive and kickin and if you will/will
not be attending Wed. night's meetup. I won't see many of you for a
long time.

Be Well.

Magickal solidarity

There's a lot I could say about Salem and Samhain, but here's the summary of last night.

*Approx 200 Pagan/Wiccan/Witches and supporters attended/participated in the Samhain circle at Gallow's Hill hosted by Temple of Nine Wells.

*Ritual was about 2 hours, raised tons of energy and was a good time had by all. Gypsy was just the best HP last night; she was so into it all and so hospitable. I'd seen her preside over ritual before, but this time was different.

*The parade through town showed them we EXIST and cannot be ignored. Our kind must still be tolerated.

Mind you, I am saying tolerance rather than acceptance. Acceptance I do not expect, nor do I care if others share my/our beliefs at all. Unlike the doomsday crazies that were all over town shouting their jesus propaganda and handing out recruitment flyers as per usual. *sigh*
